Atira Nair

I’m a user experience designer with 2 years of UX design experience at Amazon, 3 years of experience as a research and design lead / fellow at Tech4Good lab, and a Cognitive science BS. I’m taking a break to study Human-Computer Interaction at University College, London.

User experience to me is about storytelling and problem-solving. As a designer, I aim to understand and present a person’s feelings and experiences into a comprehensive and compelling story. This story allows me to craft delightful and intuitive experiences for all people.

User experience design plays with my key strengths 1) a deep understanding of cognitive science through my bachelor’s degree 2) an innate desire to learn about people and their stories and 3) a passion for art and design and eye for aesthetic.

I’ve been fortunate to gain 2 years of industry experience at Amazon’s Fintech department, spend 3 years as a research and design lead/fellow at Tech4Good research lab under Professor David Lee, publish an HCI paper at ACM, and involve myself in UCL’s renowned HCI program.

Beyond UX, I’m also a reader, writer, and artist. I read anything from cognitive science books to contemporary literature to fantasy novels.
